The history of the 3x3

The Rubiks Cube is a puzzle invented by Ernő Rubik in 1974. This puzzle is a 3x3 cube made from 26 small blocks and a core in the middle. There are many type of blocks. There are edge pieces, corner pieces and center pieces. The edges have two different colors, the corners have three colors and the center colors have only one color. Including cubes made by chinese companies such as Gancube or Moyu, over 400 million cubes were sold since its appearance, making this one of the most sold toys in the world.

How to solve the 3x3

There are many methods for solving the cube, such as CFOP, Roux, ZZ and Petrus. For beginners, the "Layer by Layer" method is the easiest.

The Gan 11M Pro is the 2020 flagship made by Gan. It is a great cube, although it is very expensive. It has great corner cutting, and the most special thing in the Gan 11M Pro are the corner-to-core magnets. This new advancement brings way more stability. This cube is also very light, at the weight of 63g.

The Moyu Weilong WRM 2021 MagLev is one of the first cube which is not using springs. Instead, it uses magnets as replacement to the springs. The MagLev forces creates the same repulsion force as the springs, but there isn't as much friction as the cubes using springs. The MagLev core grants more speed than the core with springs.

The X-Man Tornado V2 is the newest flagship from X-Man Designs, a sub-brand of Qiyi Mofangge. It is one of the first Qiyi cubes to have a spring compression system, and it is very good ! Many cubers have been using this as their main since its release in 2021. The main con of this cube is that there are many lockups.

The Dayan Tengyun V2 M is an upgrade over the Dayan Tengyun M, which was already a very good cube. Dayan added a new spring compression system and an adjustment system. Like the Tengyun V1, it is extremely silent. Many cubers say it is a great cube with an average price.
