Cube Companies

There are many cube companies, but here are the most prominent ones.

GANCUBE

GANCUBE is one of the most important speedcubes brands. Founded in 2011 by Ganyuan Jiang, it has brought a lot of advancements in speedcubing technology, such as GES nuts, GMS, Honeycomb V2 and Numerical IPG. GANCUBE is sponsoring a lot of pro cubers, such as Feliks Zemdegs, Ruihang Xu and Sebastian Weyer. This brand concentrates mostly on 3x3 cubes, but they are extremely good ! Most of them are flagships !

Moyu

An interesting fact of Moyu is that it is a sub-brand of YongJun Cubes, another brand of cube which is less popular than Moyu now. It was founded around 2012 and it is active since 2013. Moyu also owns a sub-brand called Mofang-Jiaoshi, the same sub-brand which created the RS3M 2020, one of the most popular 3x3s by now. Moyu's Weilong lineup is also flagship-worthy, and any cube from Moyu ending with a WRM or WRS is probably a great cube !

Qiyi Mofangge

Qiyi Mofangge is another brand founded in 2013. This brand has a lot to offer, including cuboids, pyraminxes, skewbs, square-1s, and much else. It has three main sub-brands : TheValk, X-man Designs and QiYi Cube.

Qiyi Sub-Brand 1 : TheValk

TheValk is one of Qiyi Mofangge's sub-brand, and it is endorsed personally by Mats Valk, a former world record-holder for 3x3. Its major releases are the Valk 3, the Valk Mini and the Valk Power. Yes, all the cube names from this sub-brand have "Valk" in its names.

Qiyi Sub-Brand 2 : X-Man Designs

Founded in 2016 by Qiyi Mofangge, X-Man Designs can now be a brand on its own ! X-Man's beginning wasn't very good with the first X-Man Tornado, as most cubers said it was "OK". But after this flop, X-Man started producing very decent cubes, such as the Shadow M, the Spark and finally, the Tornado V2, on of the current flagships of 2021.

Dayan

Dayan is a pretty old brand, considering all other brands were started in the 2010s, but Dayan was founded in 2004 ! The cubes produced by this company are often called "outdated", but some of them, such as the Tengyun lineup, the Zianchi or the Guhong, are considered still to be viable, although not the best. These cubes are well known even though they are pretty old.
